Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal information BOSS WAX Mobile Valeting ("Bosswax", "we", "us") collects when you use this website or get in touch with us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we only use your information to deal with your enquiry and look after your car.
Who we are
Bosswax is a mobile car valeting business based at Blyth's Wood Ave, Costessey, Norwich NR8 5HA. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it by calling 07930 222 962.
What we collect
When you fill in our quote form or book online, we collect:
- your name and phone number
- your email address, if you choose to give it
- your town or postcode, so we know where the car will be
- the service you are interested in and your car's make and model
- any notes you add, such as parking or preferred days
- any photos of your car that you upload
If you choose a day and time on the form, that booking is stored securely with our website host so we can manage our diary and stop the same time being booked twice.
Photos are meant to show the condition of your car. Please avoid uploading photos that show people, number plates you do not want shared, or anything personal inside the vehicle.
If you call us or message us on WhatsApp, we will also have your phone number and anything you tell us or send us in that conversation.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
- to arrange a time and come to your address to valet your car
- to keep basic records of the work we have done and what you paid
- to get in touch about your booking, for example if we are running late
We will not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to, and we never sell your information.
Our legal reasons for using it
Under UK data protection law we need a lawful reason to use your information. We rely on:
- Taking steps towards a contract, and the contract itself: to quote for, book and carry out the valet you have asked for.
- Legitimate interests: to run our business sensibly, for example keeping records of past jobs and dealing with any questions or complaints.
- Legal obligation: to keep financial records that the law requires.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run the website and the business, and only so they can do that job for us. These may include:
- our website host, which stores the website and processes form submissions
- the customer management system we use to receive and reply to enquiries
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there
- our accountant, for financial records
Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where that happens, they are required to protect it to the standard UK law expects.
How long we keep it
If you send an enquiry but do not go ahead with a booking, we delete your details and photos within 12 months. If you book with us, we keep your details for as long as you are a customer, and financial records for up to 6 years, as the law requires.
Cookies and other services on this website
This website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies.
- Google Maps: the maps on our website only load if you click "Show the map". Once loaded, Google may set cookies and collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: our text styles load from Google, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them.

Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to stop or limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
To do any of these, call us on 07930 222 962. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
